Dr Richard Bateman BDS LDS RCS
Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr R Bateman qualified in 1978 from Kings College Hospital in London and started practising at "The Lindens", Orpington straight away. An early interest in orthodontics, nurtured with many training courses over the years, culminated in admission to the GDC's Specialist Register in 2000. He is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society, regularly attending their respective conferences. Additionally, he is also attends the American Orthodontic Conferences, which keeps him abreast of this fast-moving speciality.
Dr Bateman is the Vice Chairman of the LDC, Chairman of the Croydon Local Orthodontic Committee as well as Secretary of the Bromley LOC, which keeps him busy outside surgery hours. Additionally, he is the Orthodontic Adviser to the Richmond and Twickenham Primary Care Trust.
Dr Bateman's hobbies include playing golf, tennis, and motor racing.
Dudley Knight

Dentist with a special interest in Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr D Knight qualified in 1977 from Kings College Hospital in London. He did a 6-month house job in conservation and then joined 'The Lindens', Orpington in the summer of 1978. Dr Knight has an interest in cosmetic dentistry, including crowns, bridges, veneers and bleaching. He has more recently helped the orthodontist to fit braces to reduce waiting lists. Dr Knight is also the Secretary for the Local Dental Committee.
Dr Knight has two grown-up children. His hobbies include playing hockey and golf, and he attends the gym.
Sarah Sadek BDS BSc MFDS MSc MOrth

Dr. Sarah Sadek is a dedicated orthodontist with a deep-rooted commitment to her field. Her journey began with the acquisition of a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery with Distinction from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2007. This marked the commencement of her unrelenting pursuit of excellence in dentistry.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Sadek furthered her knowledge and expertise through postgraduate studies in dentistry at The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. During this time, she gained valuable experience in a spectrum of dental disciplines, including oral medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, children’s dentistry, and orthodontics, while serving in hospital roles.
Dr Sadek's hobbies include swimming and spending time .with family and friends.
Denise Allen
Dental Nurse / Practice Manager

Denise is a Dental Nurse and Practice Manager and has 15 years of experience in the dental field working for Dr Knight and Dr Bateman. She started as a receptionist and subsequently became a nurse. She attends regular conferences in different locations such as Denver, Las Vegas, Paris, Harrogate, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bournemouth.
Denise is dedicated to providing patients with assistance during their orthodontic treatment. She enjoys meeting the children that come in with very crowded and crooked teeth. At the end of treatment, seeing such lovely confident smiles and straight teeth is a very rewarding job.
Denise's hobbies include spending time with her grandchildren, travelling and socialising with family and friends.
Kerri White
Nurse / Reception

Kerri is a dental nurse and receptionist, and has 12 years' experience in the dental field, working for Dr Knight as his nurse and Dr Bateman as his receptionist. Kerri's duties include welcoming patients, taking phone calls, typing letters and all administrative duties. She attends regular conferences at different locations such as Las Vegas, Paris, Harrogate, and Edinburgh to enable herself to keep up to date with dental technology.
Kerri's hobbies include socialising with friends, sightseeing, and reading.
Sue Mercer
Dental nurse
Sue is an experienced dental nurse, who, prior to joining us, was a Dental Practice Manager for 22 years. Sue is now working with Dr Knight and Dr Bateman as a nurse who also covers our reception. Sue attends regular conferences, ongoing training and health and safety courses. Sue's hobbies include cooking, travelling, reading and socialising with family and friends.
